Until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday the country registered 1,115 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 202,657 deaths since the start of the pandemic. As a result, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days until the balance of 8 pm on Saturday was 988, the highest since August 22.. The variation was + 58% compared to the average 14 days ago, indicating a growing trend in deaths from the disease.

In confirmed cases, since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,075,670 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 59,750 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average of the last 7 days was 51,550 new diagnoses per day, a record since the data began to be measured. This represents a variation of + 48% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates a growing trend also in diagnoses.

Sixteen states, plus the Federal District, have a high death rate: PR, RS, MG, RJ, SP, DF, GO, AC, AM, AP, RO, RR, TO, CE, PB, RN and SE.

For the second day in a row, no state has a drop in deaths.
