If you donated money or were a candidate in the 2020 elections, know that you can cancel your Bolsa Família benefit. This is because the federal government published on Monday (04) the rules of temporary suspension of the benefit for people who find themselves in one of these two situations.

See who can cancel the benefit in each case and when it should happen:
Bolsa Família will be canceled in January for:
- People who were candidates in municipal elections and declared to the Electoral Justice assets greater than R $ 300 thousand
- Elected candidates who have already taken office.
Bolsa Família will be canceled in February for:
- Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família who have donated monthly amounts of two minimum wages (the amount considered will be per capita, that is, per person)
- Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família who have been employed in a campaign and have received monthly amounts of two minimum wages (amount equivalent to R $ 2,090).
Is it possible to reverse the cancellation?
It depends. In the case of people who donated money to campaigns and were service providers during the election campaign, yes.
In this case, the lock may be temporary. Families that have the Bolsa Família benefit canceled for any of these reasons you must update your registration before May. Show that you meet the rules for receiving aid.
If this is not done, the benefit may be canceled and not just temporarily suspended.
Beneficiaries whose Bolsa Família benefit has been canceled (even temporarily) must send their information to the prefecture of the city in which they reside. Each city council must define where the service will be and the hours.

To enter this income bracket it is necessary to have children or adolescents from 0 to 17 years old as family members.
Also through the Variable Benefit Linked to Pregnant Women, families with pregnant women in their composition can participate in the program as long as they do not exceed the established amount limit.
