In other publications, the magistrate made fun of the disease and, on January 3, made the following comment when going to a pizzeria: “The pizzeria is full, but do not worry: since I am already sitting, the virus passes. [sic].

The judge’s behavior caught the attention of a criminal lawyer from Campo Grande (MS), who sent a disciplinary complaint to the National Council of Justice. The document was presented on Sunday.

“I came across the messages on January 1 when he praised the crowd on the beach in Búzios. When I made sure that it was a judge, I collected the prints of the demonstrations and sent them to the CNJ, who will investigate their conduct. The authorities will decide if the judge could act in this way or if she committed an ethical disciplinary infraction, ”explained lawyer José Belga Assis Trad.

The lawyer says that he considers the judge’s attitude irresponsible and disrespectful.

“I found it irresponsible from a public health point of view, because the authorities recommend isolation in the period when the disease is growing. It was also disrespectful because the judge did not observe restraint and mocked the authorities, including the CNJ itself, which edited a series of recommendations and adopted detachment as a policy to face the pandemic, so much so that it suspended the service and face-to-face hearings in the forums, ”said the complainant.

Judge Ludmila Lins Grilo works at the Unaí Criminal, Childhood and Youth Court, northwest of Minas Gerais.
