The Government of Amazonas publishes, this Monday (04/01), Decree No. 43.269, in compliance with the decision of the Court of Justice of Amazonas that suspends non-essential economic activities for a period of 15 days, due to the serious public health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In the new law, published in the Official Gazette of the State (DOE) this Monday, the State determines that the provisions of Decree No. 43.234, published on December 23, 2020 in the DOE, will govern again.

The State Government affirmed, in a note, that it respects the understanding of the State Public Ministry and the Judiciary on the need to contain the advance of the new coronavirus, which continues to pressure the health network, with a growing number of hospitalizations.

Likewise, he stated that he continues to implement the Contingency Plan for the Recrudescimento of Covid-19, which already adds 409 more beds in the last ten days, and will discuss with representatives of commerce and services the adoption of measures to reduce the impact of the economic crisis caused. due to the pandemic, which requires the adoption of restrictive measures to contain the advance of the new coronavirus.

With the new decree, it was also determined that the bodies of the Public Security System of the State of Amazonas, with the support of the Foundation for Health Surveillance of the State of Amazonas (FVS-AM), will be in charge of complying with the decision. judicial.

By Decree No. 43.324, of December 23, 2020, the following are expressly prohibited for a period of 15 days:

I – holding commemorative meetings in public spaces, clubs and condominiums;

II – holding graduation, birthday and wedding events, regardless of the number of audiences;

III – the realization of events promoted by the Government of the State of Amazonas, of any nature, including the programming of public cultural facilities;

IV – the operation of public spaces in general for visits, meetings, tours and events, allowing only individual sports practices;

V – visits to patients admitted with Covid-19;

VI – the operation of all night clubs, concert halls, houseboats, event and reception houses, dance halls, including private ones, amusement parks, circuses and similar establishments;

VII – the operation of bars, except those registered as restaurants, in the main classification of the CNAE – National Classification of Economic Activities, which can operate only in delivery, drive-thru or collection mode;

VIII – visits to prisons and juvenile detention centers;

IX – the operation of artisan fairs and exhibitions;

X – the sale of products by street vendors.

The shopping centers will function exclusively as collection points for electronic purchases in their parking lots, in the form of lockers, without ever exceeding two square meters of area, so that they operate on a drive-thru basis.
