He was buried, Monday morning (4), the 13-year-old boy who was swept away by a flood and died this Saturday (2), in the Santa Rosa neighborhood, in Pampulha, Belo Horizonte. His funeral and burial took place with about 15 people in Santa Luzia, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
The teenager’s parents were unable to speak to the report because they were so shocked by the death. The farewell was with many tears from family and friends of Caio Santana Frois.
The boy was riding a bicycle when the heavy rain began and dragged him under a car parked on Líbero Badaró street. The firefighters managed to rescue the teenager who was unconscious and in cardiorespiratory arrest. It has likely been suffocated by the water.
Resuscitation protocols were carried out and the victim was transferred to the Risoleta Neves Hospital, in Venda Nova, where he died. Minas Gerais has already registered seven deaths in the rainy period of 2020 and 2021.
