The Brazilian Association of Vaccine Clinics reported this Sunday that it is negotiating the purchase of five million doses of Covaxin, the vaccine against Covid-19 developed by the Indian laboratory Bharat Biotech.

India approved the emergency use of the vaccine this weekend. However, to begin to apply in Brazil, authorization from Anvisa is required.

According to the association, the expectation is that the result of the third phase of testing of the immunizer will come out in January. If this is confirmed, Bharat Biotech should enter in February with a final registration request with the Brazilian regulatory agency.
