The 32- and 28-year-old suspects reportedly told police that their friend when parking the car on Avenida Governador Mario Covas Júnior, was approached by two criminals and that at one point one of them had shot Carlos Vinicius dos Santos. .

The case was referred to the Civil Police and led by Chief of Police Francisco Wenceslau, in collaboration with police from the Mongagua
. With the testimony of the suspects collected, an investigation was opened for the crime of robbery, when robbery is followed by death. However, they concluded that in reality the crime would be homicide. A residual examination was carried out on the hands of the two suspects and also of the victim.
As the investigations progressed, it was concluded that the place indicated by the friends of the motoboy in the statements was not the place where the crime occurred. With that, they decided to return to the place indicated by the men and talked with neighbors and merchants in the region, and also checked if in a security camera they had images that could help in the development of research

When the suspects were questioned again, an important detail was revealed and authorities discovered that it was actually the 32-year-old man who shot Carlos Vinicius. According to investigators, he confessed to having accidentally shot once and that the stories of the suspects did not coincide, since they would be in “shock” with the latest events.
The body of the victim was sent to the IML and a necropsy test will be performed, since more than one injury has been identified on the victim’s body, which makes the authorities think that not all the information has been disclosed.
According to the Civil Police, the investigations continue because they do not believe in the possibility that the crime was committed accidentally. The perpetrator was caught red-handed by murder
, but later released by the court with the justification that the defendant helped the friend’s aid. The second suspect, the 28-year-old friend, was charged with procedural fraud.
