A small plane that arrived from São Paulo to pick up a patient with Covid-19 suffered an accident during the landing this Saturday morning (2), at the Juscelino Kubitschek Airport, in Diamantina, in the central region of Minas. According to the Fire Department, inside the aircraft of the company Brasil Vidas Set Taxi Aéreo, there was a doctor, a nurse, as well as the pilot and copilot. Three victims suffered minor injuries and one was left uninjured, according to the corporation.

The victims were first helped by the Fire Department and then SAMU provided assistance. They were referred to a city hospital.

According to the Fire Department, the incident occurred while landing on the airport runway. The people who were at the scene during the accident informed the military that the plane left the runway during landing. Information on the dynamics and cause of the patient is being checked.

This morning, Firefighters are monitoring the aircraft, which just before 11 am still had the turbines running. The military wait for the fuel to be completely consumed and carry out fire and explosion prevention.
