After four days on the run, the main suspect in murder of former partner Thalía Ferraz, 23, was arrested on Monday (28) in Jaraguá do Sul.
The 42-year-old turned himself in this morning and is now going through the interrogation process for further investigation and an outcome of the case.
According to the Civil Police, the temporary detention of the suspect, identified as Paulo Hening, was ordered by the Jaraguá do Sul Justice shortly after the murder.
The crime occurred on December 24, Christmas Eve, in the Río Cerro I neighborhood. After threatening by telephone, the man went to the house of the ex-mullher, who lived next door, broke into the residence and fired several shots with a pistol. 38 point gauge.
The victim allegedly tried to run into the room, but continued shooting until he hit her in the chest.
Thalía could not resist the injuries and died on the spot, in front of two nephews, ages 14 and 8. The defendant, however, fled in a white Amarok pickup and was a fugitive until then.
