A former employee of Saul Klein, son of the founder of Casas Bahía, estimates that an average of 230 women have passed through the 66-year-old millionaire’s house in one year. Recently, the heir was accused of sexual abuse and rape by women who say they have been invited to parties and events at Klein’s home in Alphaville, São Paulo.
The women report that they were subjected to weight control, pressured by third parties to perform cosmetic procedures and have sex with Klein, always without the use of condoms, for a remuneration of R $ 3,000 to R $ 4,000 per week.
In an interview with Fantástico, on TV Globo, the former employee, who was one of Klein’s victims before working for the millionaire for 12 years, reveals that she cannot even estimate how many women, some minors, have gone through the parties.
“I don’t have a real estimate. But I have an average of 200-230 girls a year.” The abuses, he said, are innumerable. “Hundreds, sure,” says the employee, who was aware of what was happening. “The physical abuse was horrible, it was a terrible situation.”
The former employee tells how the events were organized. “We even hired a team of musicians who played classical music. On her birthday, we put on costumes. And when this party ended, to the point that we were already a little drunk, we went to another ‘acoustic’ place, that did not leak sound, “he recalls.
“Inside, I would deliver gifts, shoes, bags, stuffed animals, perfumes, jewelry, things like that, and then we started a game of questions and answers that could lead us to undress,” he says.
Another unidentified victim, then only 17 years old, also recalled the ‘games’ promoted by the heir. “Anyone who missed the games had to have sex with another girl. If he got excited enough about our performance, he could have sex with him. I, who was ten days old, turned 17 in front of almost thirty girls.” , with a boy in his fifties, older than me ”, he says, who also recalled another episode of abuse.
“In three minutes of conversation he told me: ‘So get up, I want to see your body.’ And when I got up, this girl came, took my dress down. He asked me to lie down and that’s when the sexual act began. I cried. And I tried to hide my face, lower my face on the bed, but he took me by the hair, turned my face and said: ‘Look at me, I want you to look at me,’ ”she says.
“When she finished, I went to the room with a housekeeper who worked at her house, and she said: ‘Relax, I’m going to increase your rate by R $ 1,000. Then I went to this place, I didn’t want to go.’ , but they convinced me. I really wanted a cell phone, because it was a 17-year-old girl who didn’t have a cell phone, “she concludes.
Klein’s defense claims that all relationships were consensual and that the businessman was a “sugar daddy,” a term that designates older men who have a fetish of financially supporting younger women in exchange for affection and / or relationships. sexual. The Public Ministry, which requested the installation of the investigation based on 14 complaints, questions this version.
The defense of the victims denies the link “suck” used by the defense. “The difference is the consent of the victims,” he says.
“It is not just a case of sexual abuse, it is a case against the dignity of the human person, and I believe that there are many more victims than those who have sought us out,” said prosecutor Gabriela Manssur.
Klein must undergo a psychological investigation by court decision, following an action by his son, Philip Klein, who requested the sanction of the businessman claiming that he is wasting assets in an “accelerated” and “inconsequential” manner.
