The 2-year-old boy Heitor Maciel dos Santos, disappeared since Thursday (24) on a farm in Lucas do Rio Verde, 360 km from Cuiabá, was found alive on Sunday (27) by firefighters. The boy disappeared while sleeping in a room.
According to the Fire Department, the boy was alone in the region where the searches were made, specifically in a landfill. Sniffer dogs were used in the searches. Someone called the fire station and said that the boy was in the garbage dump in the old city.
The teams had already searched the site and nothing had been found.
One of the firefighters who participated in the operation, Sergeant Domingos, reported, at the door of the hospital where he was transferred, that the child is well and with few minor injuries.
“He has abrasions from those who walked in the woods, but no serious injuries. He has diaper rash between his legs, as if he had walked. The possibility that he was lost or taken intentionally cannot be ruled out,” he said. Sargeant.
Héctor was transferred to a hospital, where the family found him again and will undergo a medical evaluation.
Images from city bus cameras were analyzed. The case is being investigated by the Civil Police, who are trying to find out if the boy was walking alone and got lost, or if someone took him and then abandoned him.

Héctor spent Christmas with his family in family properties and slept with his mother in a room. The mother left him for a few minutes and when she returned she couldn’t find him anymore.
According to fire officials, a witness said he saw a boy like Hector on the shores of MT-449, a road near the family’s property.

Since the disappearance, fire teams and a helicopter from the Integrated Air Operations Center (Ciopaer) have searched for the boy.
The mother told police officers that she lay with the boy on a bed and got up to help her husband change a circuit breaker at the residence. The couple kept some tools and when they went to the bedroom, they did not find the sleeping child.
They looked for the boy and called him, but he was not in the house or near the farm.
