Goiás achieved an important result in his fight to remain in the Brazilian Championship. In a match valid for round 27, the Esmeralda team beat Sport at the Estádio Hailé Pinheiro 1 x 0. The only goal of the match came with just four minutes left, headed by Fernandão.
