The worker who is close to retirement must pay attention to the calendar to ensure rules more advantageous when requesting your benefit. Starting in January 2021, some transition rules will have stricter requirements, namely: for points; the transition by minimum age; and the minimum age for the woman’s age benefit.
In the case of the worker who has already reached the minimum requirements, requesting the benefit as soon as possible ensures greater delinquencies. This is because if the INSS recognizes the right, the initial withdrawal date will be the day of the request.
For the worker who has already completed the contribution period, the minimum age increases every six months each year, reaching 62 years in 2031 (women) and 65 years in 2027 (men).
Due to the transition rule of the minimum age, next year, the woman must be 57 years old and 30 years of contributions to obtain retirement. The man must be 62 years old and 35 years old.
The points transition table will also expire later this year. Starting in 2021, the sum of age and contribution time will be 88 points (women) and 98 points (men).
The transition of 50% of the toll will not be modified. However, the incidence of the social security factor is in this rule, which was updated last week by the INSS, which took into account the increase in life expectancy of the Brazilian.
The lawyer João Badari reports that the worker will have to serve another two months in 2021 to compensate for the new social security factor and maintain the same amount of benefit that he would receive before.
Values for 2021 are predefined
The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Economy, confirmed the estimate of the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) for 2020, leaving the current 2.35% and going to 4.10%. The indicator is important, since the result is used to readjust the minimum wage and the pensions of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS).
Therefore, if the index is confirmed, the wage floor would increase from R $ 1,045 to R $ 1,087.85 in 2021. That’s a increase of R $ 42.85.
Thus, with the 4.1% increase, the INSS ceiling can go from R $ 6,101.06 this year to R $ 6,351.20 as of 2021.
OR INSS roof it is for people who receive monthly salaries well above the national floor. Upon retirement, they would end up earning large sums. Therefore, the government could not pay the same amount each month based on what they earned in the practice of their profession.
For this reason, the retirement ceiling is necessary. The ceiling serves as a limit on social security expenses and maintains the balance of accounts in the Brazilian social security system.
See below the projection of how INSS benefits will be based on the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) at 4.10%.
