RIO – Sixteen cuts and knife perforations, ten of them in the face and head, caused the death of Judge Viviane Vieira do Amaral Arronenzi, 45, a victim of femicide at the hands of her ex-husband, the engineer Paulo José Arronenzi, father of his three daughters. The injuries, which also hit his left hand, with which he tried to defend himself, were verified through a cadaveric recognition report from the Rio Medico-Legal Institute (IML), to which O GLOBO had exclusive access.

Destroyed lives: He ended up giving up the escort for his sentence, ‘laments a friend of the judge murdered by her ex-husband in Barra

The judge was murdered around 6 in the afternoon of the 24th, Christmas Eve, in Barra da Tijuca, in front of her daughters, between 7 and 9 years old. The official document provides information to investigators that make it clear that the defendant wanted to end the ex-wife’s life, not just threaten her.

A source working in the investigation, in charge of the Capital Homicide Police (DHC), says that in addition to the excessive number of stab wounds, starting with the face, Paulo José, 52, continued to beat Viviane on her back after she fell to the ground. There were ten cuts on the head and six on the back of the body.

Despite the injuries to various parts of the body, it was the cut in the jugular that, according to the experts, led to her immediate death, without the possibility of help. The report also reveals bruises, that is, purple spots on the body. But it’s the abrasions on her back and left shoulder that lead investigators to believe she was still dragged down the sidewalk.

The report is signed by two experts, including the forensic Gabriela Graça. The investigation concluded on Friday 25. In addition to the excessive number of blows, the fact that the ex-husband had three knives in his backpack reinforces the thesis of premeditation of the crime. The knife used to kill the victim has yet to be found by the police.
