The crime occurred in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio. The judge of the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ) was stabbed on Avenida Rachel de Queiroz, in front of the three daughters of the couple.
The murder was recorded in a video that circulated on social networks and was analyzed by police. In the recording, the children ask the father to stop beating the judge.
For the police, the engineer premeditated the crime. Three knives were found in his car, but the one used to kill the woman was not found.
In September, Viviane had made a history of bodily injury and threats against your ex-husband, that was framed in the Maria da Penha Law.

The president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the National Council of Justice (CNJ), Minister Luiz Fux, regretted on Friday (25) the murder of judge Viviane Vieira do Amaral Arronenzi, 45, stabbed to death by her ex-husband on Christmas Eve.
In a public note, released on behalf of the STF and CNJ, Fux described the crime as “cowardly” and said it was committed “to developing actions that identify the best way to prevent and eradicate domestic violence against women in Brazil.” .

In a statement, the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice said it “deeply regrets” the death of Judge Viviane Arronenzi, a victim of femicide.
The Association of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (AMAERJ) and the Brazilian Association of Magistrates (AMB) issued a joint note in which they expressed “great regret” for what they described as “cowardly murder of the judge.” The entities said that the crime will not go unpunished.
“The entities representing Fluminense and the Brazilian magistrates show solidarity with the relatives and friends of the magistrate in mourning. This barbaric crime will not go unpunished, we assure you, ”the note underlines.
In the same statement, the president of AMAERJ, Felipe Gonçalves reported that, even on Thursday night, he spoke with the Civil Police Secretary of the State of Rio, delegate Alan Turnowski, and with delegate Pedro Casaes, who was in the crime site.
“I can assure you: this crime will not go unpunished. Femicide is vehemently repudiated by Brazilian society. Brazil needs to move on. What happened this Thursday in Barra da Tijuca is absolutely unacceptable,” Gonçalves reiterated.
The president of AMB, Renata Gil, highlighted her “indignation and disgust” at the murder of the magistrate.
“Femicide is the portrait of a society still marked by gender violence. We have to fight this evil,” Renata Gil emphasized.
The Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro also expressed its regret for the death of the judge and the rejection of femicide.
The agency emphasized that it will follow up on crime investigations through the Public Ministry.
