Judge Viviane Vieira do Amaral Arronenzi, of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice, was murdered on Christmas night (12/24) by stabbing by her ex-husband, the engineer Paulo José Arronenzi. He was arrested on the spot and taken to the police station.

Viviane had been part of the judiciary in Rio de Janeiro for 15 years. He currently works in the 24th Civil Court of the capital. Before that, he worked at the 16th Public Finance Court.

The Association of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Amaerj) and the Association of Brazilian Magistrates (AMB) issued a note of regret and disgust for such a brutal crime.
