The outing for the extended Christmas vacation began with a serious accident on the morning of Thursday, December 24. Two trucks collide with the BR-381, in So Gonalo do Rio Below, in Grande BH. One person died.

The accident occurred at km 365. According to the Fire Department, the Voluntary Rescue Service (Sevor), who works at Joo Monlevade, reported that one person died and another was helped by the team at Hospital Santa Margarida.
A Nova Unio fire rescue unit was dispatched to the site to support Sevor but, according to the corporation, returned after being fired.

According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the section was closed in both directions. Guidance for drivers to plan alternative routes. There is rain at the scene of the accident.
