PSG surprised and fired coach Thomas Tuchel from the team. The information was released by the newspaper L’Equipe, which also reported that Argentine Mauricio Pochettino has already agreed with the club to succeed the German.

The initiative comes a day after the Parisian team’s 4-0 defeat to Strasbourg yesterday in the French Championship.

Tuchel had been in charge of PSG for two and a half years and had a contract until June 2021. So far, the club has not manifested itself on social networks.

The Argentine, on the other hand, has been unemployed since leaving the Tottenham, late last year, and was available to negotiate with other teams.

National titles and setbacks in the Champions League

The German led the team in 127 games and has a record of 95 wins, 13 draws and 19 losses.

During this period, PSG twice won the French Championship, in addition to the French Cup and the French League Cup.

Last season, the Parisian club reached the final of the Champions League, but were defeated by Bayern Munich.

Tuchel, however, never had full confidence and unanimity on the part of the directors and the Parisian fans.
