If the PGR (Office of the Attorney General of the Nation) thoroughly investigates an alleged report prepared by Abin (Brazilian Intelligence Agency) in favor of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicans-RJ), son of the President of the Republic, a violation of the confidentiality. telematic (communications) to confirm or not the act.
According to lawyers, experts, federal police and Abin agents, if there is a “serious” and “independent” investigation, as the Minister of Justice and Public Security, André Mendonça defended today, there is no way to cover up Abin’s mistakes: breach of secrecy would be “reasonably easy” to find out whether or not there was an illegal action. However, there are obstacles that should not facilitate a proper investigation, the sources say.
The first step was taken, which would be the STF (Supreme Federal Court) minister, Cármen Lúcia, pressuring the PGR to investigate the case. The minister dispatched in support of the initiation of the investigations because, in theory, the case may contain “criminal and administratively relevant acts”, such as: embezzlement, administrative defense, breach of functional confidentiality, crime of liability and administrative impropriety.
The second step is more complex. It turns out that the investigation will be in charge of the PF (Federal Police). And the current CEO of PF, Rolando Alexandre de Souza, who was Abin’s Secretary of Management and Planning, is considered the right hand of Alexandre Ramagem, Abin’s director, who would have directed the agency’s reports to Flávio Bolsonaro.
Help in a supposed “cracked” scheme
According to a complaint revealed by “Época” magazine, Abin, headed by Ramage, a friend of the Bolsonaro family, produced at least two reports to guide Flávio in the investigation that investigates an alleged “cracked” scheme in his office when he was State deputy in Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro).
Flávio Bolsonaro was denounced by the MP-RJ (Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro) for the crimes of money laundering, embezzlement and criminal organization. Denies all charges.
In a demonstration to Cármen Lúcia, the GSI denied that Abin made the reports to help the son of President Jair Bolsonaro (no party), although the senator himself confirmed the existence of the reports.
Abin also denied having produced reports “or any other document” to help Flávio in the case of the “crackers”, despite confirming the meeting between the senator’s defense, Ramage, Heleno and Jair Bolsonaro.
According to the agency, the meeting was “completely regular” and is within the powers assigned by law to GSI. Abin said that it still does not work “outside of legality,” as the “Época” report suggests.
According to the magazine’s complaint, the reports prepared for the senator did not contain the agency’s logo and would have been prepared by a clandestine structure, and not officially.
Despite the refusals from GSI and Abin, Flávio Bolsonaro’s own defense admits the existence of the reports.
