At least two politicians appealed to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) for their candidacies to be made public, based on the decision of the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Kassio Nunes Marques. The information is from O Globo. Last Saturday (19), the minister reduced the period of ineligibility determined by the Clean Registry Law. The first appeals were presented by Adair Henriques da Silva (DEM), who obtained 50.62% of the valid votes for the mayor of Bom Jesus de Goiás and Júlio Fessô (Rede), who obtained 3,037 votes for councilor in Belo Horizonte.

In early December, the TSE decided that new elections should be held in Bom Jesus de Goiás. Silva was convicted of a crime against public property in September 2009, but his sentence expired on May 6, 2015 and the ineligibility must disappear. until 2023. If you receive a favorable decision, you can take office.

In the case of Fessô, it is necessary to consider the electoral quotient for him to be elected, if he receives a favorable response from the TSE. The defense of the candidate alleged that he finished serving his sentence for the crime of trafficking in 2011. According to the Clean File Law, he would be ineligible until 2019. However, the Minas Gerais TRE considered that the sentence expired only in May of 2013, he would also be ineligible until 2021. The defense argues that, according to the new understanding, Fessô could assume the position, since he would have been eligible since 2014. The president of the TSE, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso must analyze the resources.
