Bahía announces Dado Cavalcanti as new coach one day after firing Mano Menezes

On Monday (21), Tricolor acted quickly and announced the new coach. This is Dado Cavalcanti, who has spent time in Bahia.

Returning to the club at the end of October for the football department, Dado Cavalcanti will assume technical command of the squad from Sunday’s game against Internacional in Fonte Nova.

The professional was the coach of the Transition Team (U23) until the start of the pandemic, in March, when the project unfortunately had to stop, and will work with the assistants Cláudio Prates and Pedro Gama.

During his first season in Bahia, which began in April 2019, Dado led the team to the semifinal of the Brazilian Aspirants’ Championship and to the Bahia Championship title, which was in more than half of the season.
