Miguel Borja left Junior Barranquilla and returned to Brazil. He will perform in Palmeiras in January. The most expensive signing in the history of Alviverde, the center forward will not be used for the moment by the technical option of Abel Ferreira. He received a call from a lawyer for the club who decreed his future: he will run again in January, but he will not wear the Palestinian jersey until he finds another team to play.

With the transfer window closed, Palmeiras could turn to FIFA to register the Colombian, but he will not. Borja will not be registered in the Libertadores and will have to wait for the decision of his future.

In an interview with Globo EsporteBorja said that he is saddened by the attitude of the club by not registering it.

“I’m sad, it was a surprise for me that Palmeiras did not sign for Libertadores. It could help in a semifinal. I really wanted to help. I have great affection for Palmeiras for everything I did and for what the fans did for me. I will never forget that reception they gave me (at Guarulhos airport) ”, he said.

“I don’t understand why they don’t want me. I’m a Palmeiras player, I just had to arrive, put on my shirt and play. I don’t understand this situation ”, he analyzed.

“I respect the coach’s decision, but I don’t understand it. I don’t know what happened, but I understand that the coach has a good team. They are things that happen. I know that the result of Palmeiras in the Libertadores ended up being fundamental for me not to arrive, because the team is flowing well. Taking someone out would be strange, I understand, but what to do? I was very motivated. In Junior, I regained my physical shape and my confidence. He was without playing and without confidence, but this player, who was very physically, confident and scoring, willing, with determination, would be the one to show up ”.

The club still does not know what it will do with Borja. Two clubs have polled the player in recent days, but it was only one poll. The goal is to sell it for at least the same amount paid in 2017.
