The Secretariat of Finance and Planning of the government of the State of São Paulo announced last Thursday (17) the payment schedule for the IPVA 2021 São Paulo. In addition, the agency published motor vehicle property tax rates.
Rates of IPVA 2021 SP averaged 6.77%. This indicates that the tax will be cheaper than the estimate made by the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisa Económica (Fipe). The Treasury estimates to raise R $ 18.5 billion.
The state of São Paulo has around 28 million vehicles, of which only 17.8 million are collected from IPVA. The State has 10.4 million that were produced more than 20 years ago and are therefore exempt.
In addition, taxi drivers, people with disabilities, churches, non-profit organizations, official vehicles and urban buses / minibuses are exempt, representing 618 thousand vehicles. Thus, only 64% of the total fleet of vehicles registered in São Paulo pay the IPVA.
Payment of IPVS 2021 São Paulo
The payment order is made according to the end of the registration and the category of the vehicle and there is the possibility of guaranteeing a discount of 3% who pays in a single installment in the month of January.
