Councilor Samuel Silveira (PSDB) was shot on Sunday night (20) during an attempted robbery on Miguel Sady Avenue, in the São Cristóvão neighborhood, east of Teresina.
The Military Police and delegate Júlio Castro, from the Coordination of Special Resources of the Civil Police (CORE) are already installed.
The police chief told Cidadeverde.com that Samuel Silveira was leaving his two children at his ex-wife’s residence when a man approached him announcing a robbery.
“Upon arriving at the house, an individual approached him and showed him the weapon. At this point he got into a physical fight with the criminal in front of his ex-wife’s house. There was an exchange of shots, ”said the delegate.
In the confrontation, the councilor, who is also a delegate, managed to target the assailant who ran and died shortly after the crime scene. The deputy was shot.
The ex-wife left the house scared after hearing the shots and saw Samuel wounded. He called Samu’s ambulance and they took him to São Paulo Hospital.
The councilor’s counselor informed the Cidadeverde.com portal that Samuel Silveira was hit in the abdomen region. He was undergoing surgery accompanied by his brother who is a doctor.
A motorcycle and the murder weapon were left at the scene of the assault.
