The Civil Police of Santa Catarina announced today that it had located Fabíola Tormes, 4, who had been kidnapped on Friday night (18).
Fabíola had been taken from her home in Palhoça (SC), a city in the metropolitan region of Florianópolis. According to the newspaper Hora de Santa Catarina, the crime occurred around 9:00 p.m., when two people invaded the family home, beat Fabíola’s mother and fled the boy in a white Gol Gol car.
In a note released yesterday, the Civil Police reported that “it has taken all legal steps in relation to the disappearance of a child in Palhoça, on Friday night (18)”, and that the case was being “duly investigated.”
At dawn today, the police located Fabíola, who was with a couple in Florianópolis, in the north of the island.
The child was fine, according to the Civil Police. The couple were arrested.
On Facebook, Fabíola’s aunt, Silvana Tormes, celebrated the reunion with her niece. “Thanking everyone with all their prayers. For the efforts of the police who were tireless. Fabíola was found,” he recorded.
In social networks, the delegate Eliane Chaves, director of the Civil Police of SC in the metropolitan region of Florianópolis, celebrated the success in locating Fabíola.
