According to her, not even members of the Citizenship party approached her to speak about the case. The support she received came from women parliamentarians, especially from the Psol and deputy Carlos Gianazzi (Psol).

When she was a councilor for 30 days in March 2017, Isa Penna was described as a “whore” and a “terrorist” by the parliamentarian Camilo Cristófaro (PSB) in the elevator of the Chamber. The case was widely reported at the time.

The Citizenship Council has only one woman

The Citizen Ethics Council is made up of nine members and three alternates, including only one woman. A group of women from Citizenship is also preparing a document to ask for speed in the analysis of the case of the deputy in the party’s National Ethics Committee.
