The stepfather of the 5-year-old girl was found dead in a vacant lot this Friday morning (18), of the family, in Hortolândia, confessed to having killed the child.
According to the delegate of the American Sectional Police, Martha Rocha, after being found in Campinas and taken to testify, Cássio Martins Camilo confessed to the murder, and the police are investigating whether the mother is involved.
“He simply confessed that he committed the crime. It remains to be seen now where, in what way this barbarous crime occurred. And also to know what was the motivation that led him to commit this crime. The authorship is already determined. the connivance of the mother ”, declared the delegate.
According to the delegate, sexual abuse was also found on the boy’s body. “The abuse was found, now the genetic material will be collected to find out if the abuse is also the responsibility of the stepfather,” he added.
The man had already been raped by the police and was the main suspect in the disappearance. He was responsible for taking care of Maria Clara Calixto Nascimento, while her mother, a 25-year-old production manager, was at work.
According to the police report, the woman returned home at lunchtime and did not find the girl. When asked, the companion would have said that she was playing at the neighbor’s house. The mother went to look for the girl and the neighbor told her that María Clara was not at the residence.

She disappeared in the Vila Real neighborhood, and today they found her dead, wrapped in a plastic bag and inside a cardboard box in a vacant lot near where she lived. One person saw and called the family. The mother found the girl and, desperate, even tried to take her to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) in Jardim Nova Hortolândia, but María Clara was already dead.
According to the City Council, the girl arrived dead at the scene and the body was sent to the IML (Legal Medical Institute) of Americana. The girl’s body will be sent to the American IML (Medical Legal Institute).
