The Ibope poll published on Wednesday (16) shows the following percentages of the evaluation of the government of President Jair Bolsonaro:
- Great good: 35%;
- Regular: 30%;
- Bad / terrible: 33%;
- Don’t know / didn’t answer: 2%
The survey was commissioned by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI). According to the entity, the survey was between December 5 and 8 and listened to 2,000 people in 126 municipalities.
Still, according to the survey, 44% say they trust Jair Bolsonaro; another 53% say they don’t trust; 3% did not know or did not want to answer.
The survey margin of error is two percentage points higher or lower and the confidence level is 95%.
The latest survey published by Ibope and also commissioned by CNI with the approval of the president was conducted in September 2020.
The numbers collected at that time were:
- Great good: 40%;
- Regular: 29%;
- Bad / terrible: 29%;
- Don’t know / didn’t answer: 2%.
Expectation of the population
The new survey also considered expectation of the population about the government. The results show that 35% believe that Bolsonaro’s next years in office will be great or good.
Another 31% said it would be bad or terrible. For 30%, the next few years will be regular.
In the survey above, 36% said they believed the next few years of terms would be good or good, 30% that they would be bad or terrible, and 29% fair. All three groups wavered within the margin of error.
One of the aspects surveyed refers to the approval of the way of governing of President Jair Bolsonaro. In this regard, the results were:
- Approve: 46%;
- Disapprove: 49%;
- I don’t know or I didn’t answer: 5%.
In the previous poll, 50% of those surveyed approved of Bolsonaro’s way of governing, 45% disapproved and 5% did not know or did not respond.

Ibope also asked respondents about the perception of the news in relation to the government Jair Bolsonaro.
In the survey, 15% say that recent news about the government is more favorable and 46% that it is more unfavorable.
