The CGU regional superintendent, Breno Barbosa Cerqueira Alves, reveals that DNIT employees received bribes in the form of goods and events, to favor the companies involved in the scheme.
“In this operation launched in Uberlndia, the company provided vehicle for the use of local DNIT servers in exchange for favoring measurements and the practice of diverting payments to these companies. In addition, there were daily payments in hotis, events, meetings and other actions that demonstrate the influence of these companies in some body of the body and with that they manage to make this diversion system work ”, he details.
The delegate Mrcia Franco Versieux explains that the works are already born fraudulent and that there is participation of several involved. Of those responsible for the tender and mainly of the inspectors.
“From the beginning of the work, it has been a fraud. They are sealed jobs, in which it is already known which company wins the tender. From there, there is a combination with whiners, tax of the works. The execution of poor quality works, with deviations and overpricing of values ”, he explains.
She completes. “Specifically in the Prata region, there was the actual measurement of work and the inflated measurement. The companies had profit between 50% and up to 70% of the billing amount. For example, in one of the months the average was R $ 9,382 and the amount sent was as if it were R $ 61 thousand. On this difference they calculated 20% and this amount was paid as a bribe to the supervisor of the work. The construction supervisor received this salary, this gift, every month from the construction company ”.
