Paes cited the recent death of friends, such as Bishop Daniel Malafaia and Samba player Ubirany Félix do Nascimento, one of the founders of the Fundo de Quintal group, both from complications derived from the coronavirus.

People with comorbidity, with diseases, care.
Paes also said that, in the next meeting with the future secretaries, even before taking office, he will already present the plan to combat Covid-19, together with doctor Daniel Soranz, who will assume the municipality’s health department in the new administration. .
The future mayor said that he will fulfill his role in the face of the worsening of the pandemic and the lack of beds, working with the Ministry of Health and in an integrated manner with the National Immunization Plan. But he drew attention to the need for everyone to collaborate, including the youngest:
– All of us and the youngest, who may already be contaminated, must wear a mask, ensure social distance. It is useless to think that a government will enter on January 1 and perform miracles, or impose a series of restrictions that, if the population does not cooperate, are worth nothing.
