Judicialization of the election
Before the election that took place today, the General Meeting of Partners took place on November 28. On that occasion, 100 new members were elected to the Deliberative Council, 74 of whom were linked to Casares and 26 to the Natel group.
After the disclosure of the result, Roberto Natel entered requesting a recount of votes from the São Paulo board of directors, but received a negative response. A group linked to the then candidate, with four partners (Alberto Carlos Ferreira, Carlos Norberto Canata, Clóvis Gomes Botelho and Eduardo Minc) called the court to request the vote recount.
Yesterday afternoon (11), the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJ-SP) took a position on the action and determined the preservation of equipment, documents, ballots and data related to the General Meeting of Members for an expert opinion that will evaluate possible errors in the vote count. The other requests for associates in the process were rejected by Judge Mónica Lima Pereira.
Even today, a group linked to Roberto Natel tried to annul the claim through the courts. However, the request was rejected by the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJ-SP).
