The servers of Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) released on Thursday (10) an open letter to Brazilian society in defense of the entity, and reinforcing that it is independent and that “it does not serve the interests of governments, individuals, organizations or political parties.”

The officials also emphasize that they are aware of the importance and expectations surrounding the work in relation to the approval of vaccines, and remember that they themselves are also affected by the decisions of the agency.

“We are proud to contribute to face this unprecedented pandemic situation and we are aware that our work will have an impact on all Brazilian families, including ours. After all, we are also citizens and we are equally affected by Anvisa’s decisions ”.
