OR Brazil has 173,979 confirmed coronavirus deaths as of 1 pm this Tuesday (2), according to a survey by the media consortium based on data from state health departments.
Since the balance of 8 pm on Tuesday (1st), 6 states have updated their data: CE, GO, MG, MS, PE and TO.

On Monday, at 8 pm, the balance indicated: 173,862 confirmed deaths, 697 in 24 hours. With this, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 526. The variation was -10% with respect to the average. 14 days ago, indicating a stable trend in Covid deaths, when there is no significant increase or decrease.
In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 6,388,526 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 52,248 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average in the last 7 days was 38,154 new diagnoses per day, the highest since September 6, when it reached 39,356. This represents a 35% variation in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates an upward trend in diagnoses.
Eight states showed an increase in the moving average of deaths: PR, SC, ES, AC, RO, RR, CE and SE.
It is also worth mentioning that there are states where low death rates can lead to large percentage variations. Moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate presentation of the data.
