Brazil has 173,229 deaths from coronavirus confirmed as of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (1st), according to a survey by the media consortium based on data from state health departments.

Since the balance of 8 pm on Monday (30), 6 states have updated their data: CE, GO, MG, MS, PE and TO.

See consolidated figures:

  • 173,229 confirmed deaths
  • 6,344,345 confirmed cases

On Monday, at 8:00 p.m., the balance indicated: 173,165 confirmed deaths, 317 in 24 hours. As a result, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 518. The variation was -7% compared to the average of 14 days ago, indicating a stable trend in deaths from Covid, when not there is a significant increase or decrease.

In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 6,336,278 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, of which 22,622 were confirmed on the last day.

The moving average in the last 7 days was 35,468 new diagnoses per day, the highest since September 6, when it reached 39,356. This represents a variation of 20% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates an upward trend in diagnoses.

Eight states showed high in the moving average of deaths: Santa Catarina, Espírito Santo, Acre, Amazonas, Rondônia, Ceará, Pernambuco and Sergipe.

It is also worth mentioning that there are states in which low death rates can lead to large percentage variations. Moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate presentation of the data.

  • Top (8 states): SC, ES, AC, AM, RO, CE, PE and SE
  • In stability, that is, the number of deaths did not decrease or increase significantly (7 states): PR, RS, RJ, AP, PA, BA and MA
  • Fall (11 states + DF): MG, SP, DF, GO, MS, MT, RR, TO, AL, PB, PI and RN

This comparison takes into account the average of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance in comparison with the average registered two weeks ago (understand the criteria that G1 uses to analyze pandemic trends).
