The mayor of Belo Horizonte, Alexandre Kalil (PSD), fired again at the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (new). In an interview with Living wheel, program shown by TV Cultura, this Monday (30), Kalil said that Zema “says nothing and does nothing.”

Asked about the government of Minas, Kalil said that he had access to an interview with Romeu Zema, in which the head of the state Executive said that the mayor of BH “talks a lot and does nothing.” The leader of the prefecture of the capital of Minas Gerais responded to Zema, highlighting the state’s debts with Belo Horizonte.

“I think the government of Minas is poisoned. Yesterday they sent me a recording of an interview he gave. When they summoned me, he said, ‘He talks a lot and he didn’t do anything.’ What I have to say about the governor of Minas is that he does not say or do anything. Belo Horizonte is off the menu of the Minas government. As I am in debt to some, I am pleased to whom I owe. It attacks Belo Horizonte as if it owed Belo Horizonte, in the 36 months that it promised to pay, almost R $ 700 million ”, he shot.

Regarding the dispute for the post of governor in 2022, Kalil, as in another part of the program, said again that it is not on the agenda, but that he will not object if he is “taken to office.”

“Xuxa knocks on the door. I am elected mayor of Belo Horizonte in a soft ballot election. If you take me there (to the government of Minas), thank you very much. I did not put it on the agenda ”, he concluded.

During the conduction of the new coronavirus pandemic, Alexandre Kalil and Romeu Zema exchanged various pins, especially with regards to social isolation measures. While the governor of Minas Gerais defended a more “liberal” position, the mayor of Belo Horizonte maintained the rigor of the rules of trade. The capital of Minas Gerais, for example, did not even join Minas Consciente, created by the state to guide mayors in economic recovery.
