The Traffic Department (DETRAN) launched the program that aims to distribute 400 license (CNH). According to the agency, the document can be issued free of charge. The theoretical-practical course and the medical and psychological exams will be carried out by the Department of Health (Sesau).
Distribution of the 400 CNH vacancies
The vacancies will be distributed as follows:
- 40% for low-income people who are unemployed (for more than 1 year);
- 40% for those registered in Bolsa Família;
- 18% for the renewal of the CNH, for those who have low income and exercise the paid function of driver;
- 5% for the disabled;
- 2% for people released from the prison system.
CNH Citizen
The program, as established in Law No. 1,011 / 2015, is titled CNH Citizen. Drafted by state deputy Jorge Everton (MDB), the text was regulated by the governor of Roraima, Antonio Denarium (no party).
The proposal is that the first CNH be issued in categories A, B and AB. In addition, citizens who work as drivers will be able to renew their document. According to information from Detran, 65% of the portfolios will be distributed to Boa Vista (Capital), 35% to other cities and 5% to people with disabilities.
Detran will be in charge of managing the entire program process, from the moment of the candidate’s registration to the delivery of the documentation.
Free CNH registration
Those interested in competing for any of the vacancies must access the official website of Detran-RR. During access, those interested must click on the option “Rating-CNH”, then on “CNH Cidadã” and, finally, on “Request CNH Cidadã”.
The selection will have 3 stages:
- subscription;
- selection; Y
- proof of registration data.
The candidate must complete the registration form with the correct information.
In the event of inconsistency in the data provided, the candidate may modify the data provided only once. However, only during the registration period, at the Department’s own email address.
Project wants CNH free throughout Brazil
A National driver’s license (CNH) free, can be issued by low-income people. The proposal is contained in the text of Draft Law (PL) No. 3,904 / 2019, written by Federal Deputy Emerson Miguel Petriv (PROS-PR).
The MP’s proposal aims for the card to be used for professional purposes. The idea is that the program reaches the entire national territory. Thus, the project clarifies that all the stages of issuing the document will be free, from the mandatory exams.
“For the poorest sectors of the population, National driver’s license – CNH It is another opportunity to get a job, to develop an economic activity. However, with the requirements created by the current Traffic Code, the cost of classes, exams, driving licenses and other administrative costs, has prevented this part of the population from accessing habilitation services, ”said the deputy.
According to the deputy, the purpose of the bill is to institute the CNH Social Program at the national level, aimed at low-income people, with the purpose of providing free access to driving services for driving motor vehicles.
