Delegate Camila Rosa Alves said yesterday that she is investigating contradictory versions presented by the bus driver, a trucker who was allegedly overtaken by the bus and the surviving passenger of the truck involved in the accident.
According to the police, the version presented by the bus driver is that the vehicle’s brake has failed and he had to change direction to try to avoid something worse. The versions of the truck driver who would have been overtaken by the bus and the surviving passenger of the truck are similar: they point out that the bus tried to overtake in a prohibited zone.
The bus driver suffered death threats, but is now in a safe place, according to the delegate.
