The greatest player in the history of the Argentine and world football legend, Diego Armando Maradona died on Wednesday (25) at the age of 60.

The Argentine star suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest at his home in the city of Tigre, according to the Argentine newspaper “Clarín”.

The “golden bean” underwent delicate brain surgery earlier this month and was released eight days later. It drained a small hemorrhage in the brain.

Dr. Leopoldo Luque said at the time that the surgery was considered simple, but there was concern about the former player’s state of health.

World champion at the 1986 World Cup, when he was immortalized by the goals he scored against England, Maradona was revered and treated like a god in Argentina.

Diego Armando Maradona was born on October 30, 1960 in Lanús, Buenos Aires province, and was a Gymnastics and Fencing coach.

Named as one of the great players in the history of world football, along with Pelé, the Argentine star began his career at Argentinos Juniors, where he revealed himself and played between 1976 and 1981.

Soon after, he played for Boca Juniors for a year and moved to Barcelona, ​​where he played between 1982 and 1984.

From there, he went to Naples, Italy, where he won a UEFA Cup, two Italian Championships, a Cup and an Italian Super Cup.
