Dário Saadi (Republicans) and Rafa Zimbaldi (PL) will decide in the 2nd round, on the 29th, who will be the mayor of Campinas (SP) for the next four years. They are running for office for the first time and were the most voted by voters this Sunday (15).
According to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Dário Saadi had 121,932 votes (25.78% of those valid), compared to the 103,397 received by Rafa Zimbaldi (21.86% of those valid).

The first round in the city had 30.84% of abstention, 7.06% of white votes and 11.86% of invalid votes.
Dário Saadi is 58 years old, single and a urologist. A graduate of PUC-Campinas, he worked at the Mário Gatti Municipal Hospital, where he also held the position of president. He was elected councilor for four terms and held the position of mayor. He has been in charge of the Sports Department for the past five years, a position he held until June.
It has a declared equity of R $ 2,033,612.25. The runner-up is the former Secretary of Institutional Relations Wandão de Almeida, from PSB, who is 51 years old. He declared nothing good to the Court.
Rafa Zimbaldi is 39 years old, married and a technician in electricity, electronics and telecommunications. He was elected state deputy in 2018 and, previously, he was a councilor in Campinas for four terms, having been the most voted parliamentarian in the city in the 2016 elections. The candidate presided over the City Council on two occasions.
It has a declared equity of R $ 444,944.79. The runner-up is 52-year-old psychologist Anna Be from PSDB. Declared R $ 1,744,140.26.
Election calendar
- November 29th: second round of the elections;
- until December 15: for the presentation to the Electoral Justice of all the campaign accounts of the candidates and political parties, regarding the first round and, where appropriate, the second round of the elections;
- Until 18 December– Diplomacy will be conducted for elected candidates across the country, except in cases where elections have not yet been held.
