The rain that hits Belo Horizonte in the early hours of this Friday (13) has already caused damage in the Venda Nova region.

According to the City Council’s Operations Center, the integrated teams of BHTrans, the Municipal Guard and the Military Police remain on alert on Avenida Vilarinho in case more rains occur in the coming hours.
In the Jardim Leblon neighborhood, firefighters were also shot at a house that was flooded. According to the military, the property owner’s car was dragged and fell into a position that funneled rainwater into the house.
An elderly man, who lives on site, was unable to get out due to the water pressure at the door. It was necessary to break down the door to clear the place.
