The negotiations come in the last days, but it was only sanctioned after the duel between Palmeiras and Ceará, for the Brazilian Cup. Shortly after the 3-0 loss to the São Paulo club, the Ceará club announced the termination requested by Rafael Sobis.
In addition to negotiating the termination with Ceará, Sobis had also been dealing with Cruzeiro with a settlement related to a labor action filed by him against the club, which was ordered, in the first instance, to pay R $ 3.2 million to the athlete. Cruzeiro announced that the action had ended, due to an agreement between the parties.
The arrival of Rafael Sobis at Cruzeiro fulfills a request from Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is looking for players with more experience to compete in the second round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. The coach considers that the current squad is too young for the competition.

After the game against the Guarani, last Monday, Felipão said the trend was that “one or two” reinforcements were already working with the group at the end of this week. Sobis is one of them. The other must be a midfield athlete. Copete, from Santos, is destined.
Besides experience, Rafael Sobis has a history with Cruzeiro himself. Hired in 2016 by Mexico’s Tigres, the forward was an important name in helping the team escape relegation that season, as well as having an important role in the Brazil Cup victories in 2017 and 2018. He was also champion of Minas. Gerais in 2018.
The contract with Tigres, in 2016, generated one of the numerous debts of Cruzeiro in FIFA. In July, the celestial president, Sérgio Rodrigues, announced the agreement with the Mexicans, reducing the debt that was R $ 17 million. Much of the amount has already been paid and the rest will be paid in December.
Sobis arrived in Ceará earlier this year, with the status of prime contractor for the season. He started as a starter, but ended up losing space to Cléber. Now, who also came to the club was Felipe Vizeu. The new Cruzeiro reinforcement made 41 games and scored eight goals in the year.
