The President of the United States, Donald Trump, attended his first public event after the electoral defeat on Wednesday (11), on the Veterans Day holiday.

Accompanied by the First Lady, Melania, he paid tribute to the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

He made no pronouncements and quietly left the ceremony that commemorates the victims of all American wars and honors the families of veterans.

Arlington Cemetery, created in 1860 and located on a hill opposite the city of Washington, is the resting place of the remains of 400,000 American soldiers.

In addition, the cemetery is the place where the remains of President John F. Kennedy rest.

While Trump follows an official agenda close to the US capital, President-elect Jon Biden pays tribute, accompanied by his wife Jill, in a Philadelphia cemetery.
