The first units of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S began shipping yesterday, November 10, to pre-order buyers of the console and have also been officially made available for the first time in stores around the world. With that, and with the first owners of Microsoft’s next-gen console already in the hands of their new products, some rather nasty reports began to circulate on social media. However, as has already been confirmed, the videos that are viewed on the web are not true.

Some users have reported a number of bugs with the device, from simpler glitches, which have already been resolved, such as the inability to access game content through an Xbox Live login error, to more serious issues. like overheating and even smoke. that comes out through the upper openings of the console.

For now there is no way of knowing if these videos are, in fact, genuine. But a secondary Xbox forum on Reddit already has these and several other complaints about Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

In addition to the aforementioned issue with smoke coming out of Microsoft’s console, Reddit users are also complaining about various other irregularities with their new Xbox Series S and X, such as units that have arrived without turning on, devices that suddenly turn off after a few hours of use. , overheating, consoles making strange noises, and faulty drives in the record player.

At the moment Microsoft has not commented on the matter, so there is no information on whether the cases are true or, if they are, isolated incidents that received a lot of fanfare on the web or if there are several cases and the beginning of a major problem for the company.

The video explains that the smoke is “fake” and is caused by a vaporizer attached to the side of the console.

With the repercussion of the case on the web, the Xbox Studio profile published a video on Twitter in which it explained that the alleged failure of the smoke coming out of the console is false and is caused by a vaporizer placed on the side of the Xbox Series X.

In the publication you can see that the user completely turns off the console and places a vaporizer in the air inlet for ventilation of the device. The smoke then circulates inside the Xbox Series X and exits from the top.
