President Jair Bolsonaro said on Tuesday that it is necessary to face the pandemic of the new “open chest” coronavirus and that Brazil must stop being “a country of ladybugs”, in a pejorative reference to fear with covid-19. It has killed more than 162,000 and infected 5.67 million people.

At an event to launch the resumption of tourism, Bolsonaro called the pandemic “overblown” and criticized those who began scaring people with the possibility of a second wave of the disease.
The president asked for help to fix Brazil and stressed that the emergency aid – aid paid during the pandemic – ends in December. “How are the 40 million who lost everything?”
