Joe Biden will have two strong women in the White House: Kamala Harris and Jill Biden | Fantastic

With each barrier she gains, Kamala Harris remembers who fought to get her there. In the speech on Saturday night (7), the white suit referred to the color worn by women who, a hundred years ago, won the right to vote in the United States.

It was the sense of justice that led Kamala to the law. She chose Howard University, the first for the black community in the United States. She was also the first black woman elected California state attorney general and, later, only the second black woman to reach the United States Senate.

Kamala Harris is not the only strong woman in Joe Biden’s life. The future first lady, Jill Biden, will be the first doctor to live in the White House. Biden’s partner of decades did not leave the classroom even when she had to move to Washington to accompany the then vice president. Now he plans to teach again this second season in the American capital.

In the victory speech, Joe Biden said: “For educators, it’s a great day. You’ll have someone like you in the White House. ”
