The Social Security Institute (INSS) confirmed that it will begin the process of automatic implementation of the assistance benefits granted by the Justice. Within this process is the Continuous Term Benefit (BPC / Loas), aimed at low-income elderly or disabled people.
The initiative, a partnership between INSS and the National Council of Justice (CNJ), aims to provide quick payments to policyholders who win lawsuits.
In a note, the federal agency said that “[..] focuses on benefits of assistance and has been working to interface with justice systems. This first phase of interconnection is scheduled for September ”.
Automated processes
Assistance related to a legal claim is currently performed by several INSS servers. Now, with the interaction of the systems, the concessions will become more automated, which will generate a reduction in the time dedicated to these analyzes, in addition to eliminating possible errors in the demand support.
According to information from the auxiliary judge of the Presidency of the CNJ, Lívia Peres, the magistrate may issue, now with the processes already computerized, an order for the implementation or restitution of benefits directly to the INSS for compliance with the decision of the federal autarky.
From automation, a court order that would take months to fulfill will now take a few hours. At the beginning of 2020, around 200 thousand judicial decisions were pending for compliance by the INSS. In many cases, the terms had already expired. With automation, the expectation is that processes will become more agile and also secure.
