OR National Institute of Social Security (INSS) recently confirmed that the Automatic payment assistance benefits granted through Judicial actions.

The new form of payment was possible thanks to the alliance of the INSS with the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which allows connecting the systems of the two bodies, providing greater agility in the payment of benefits authorized by the Justice.

According to a note issued by the municipality, the INSS “[…] focuses on welfare benefits and has been working to interconnect with justice systems ”. Before automation, a court order could take months to enforce and can now be resolved in a matter of hours.

In September, the first phase of the automatic granting of INSS benefits began, with the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC / Loas). The aid guarantees monthly payments of a minimum wage, currently of R $ 1,045, for people with disabilities or low-income elderly.

Automated processes

Currently, several public servants of the INSS are obliged to attend the judicial processes in the autarky, which generates a delay in the granting of the benefit. However, by uniting the systems of the federal autarky and the CNJ, the expectation is that the time dedicated to the analysis of these claims will be reduced, automatically granting the aid to which the insured is entitled.

In addition to speeding up process progress, the new system will reduce the chances of errors during service. In this way, these processes will become more agile and secure.

According to the auxiliary judge of the CNJ, Lívia Peres, the automation of the processes will allow the magistrate to issue an order to grant or restore assistance benefits directly to the INSS, so that the autarky can comply with the decision immediately.

Therefore, automation brings benefits to all related parts of the process. Although policyholders will have to wait less to access the benefit, the INSS will be able to transfer servers to other functions that are in high demand. The Federal Government will benefit from the reduction of eventual payments of fines to the Institute.
