A fire hit a warehouse of a company, this Monday morning (2), in Vila Matilde, in the East Zone of São Paulo. The fire started around 5:00 a.m. and until 6:40 a.m. the firefighters were still fighting the flames.
The fire destroyed part of the building’s structure. The roof of the building collapsed in the flames. Until the publication of this article, there was no registry of victims.
The shed is located on Rua Eugênio de Carvalho. Inside the premises there was an office and rubberized material, which is flammable. The causes of the fire are still unknown.
Fire hits shed in Vila Matilde
Eighteen fire engines came to the scene to check and try to put out the flames. The crews are working on four fronts to try to control the fire: They are using a magirus ladder with a hose with water on the collapsed roof and also in the streets around the shed.
People living in properties adjacent to the shed have been evacuated from their homes for safety reasons and are waiting for crews to put out the fire before they can return to their homes.
