Palmeiras U-20 beat Ceará 3-1 on Sunday night (01), at Allianz Parque, for the ninth day of the Brazilian Championship in the category. The goals were scored by Caio Cunha, twice, and Vitinho.
After four minutes, Marcelinho made a good move on the left and crossed low for Caio Cunha, first, to send to the Ceará networks.
Alviverde reached the second goal in the 40th minute, with Vitinho, who amended a great shot from outside the area, without a chance for the goalkeeper.
In the second half, at 13 ′, Caio Cunha kicked hard and counted on the failure of Mateus Eduardo to make the third for Alviverde and the second in the game.
The rival came to lower the score without taking into account the defense alviverde, but did not prevent another victory for Verdão, at home.
With the victory, Verdão reached third place in the Brasileirão, with 18 points. Wesley Carvalho’s team returns to the field for the tournament this Wednesday (04), at 3:00 p.m., against Flamengo, at Estádio da Gávea, in Rio de Janeiro-RJ, for the tenth matchday.
