President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) left Forte dos Andradas, in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo, to participate in a lunch in Praia Grande this Sunday (1st). During the tour, Bolsonaro greeted the people who were waiting for him, among the elderly and children, without a mask. He arrived at Baixada Santista last Friday (30) to enjoy the All Saints festival.
According to the Special Secretariat for Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic, no official commitments are foreseen during the period. The president is staying at the Hotel de Trânsito da Fortaleza, headquarters of the 1st Brigade of Antiaircraft Artillery. A security scheme was established throughout the site.

Bolsonaro left the fort around 11 a.m., where he stopped to take a photo and speak with residents. Then he left for the Itaipu Fort, in Praia Grande, where he arrived at 12 pm.
At around 2 p.m., Bolsonaro’s party left the military fortress. The president stopped to greet the people who were waiting for him in front of the fort. On the site, he hugged children and the elderly and took dozens of photos, always without a protective mask. From there, the president got into the car to return to Forte dos Andradas, in Guarujá.

On Saturday (31), the president also left the fort at 4 in the afternoon and took a motorcycle ride through the streets of Guarujá. On that occasion, he made a brief stop at a kiosk in Canto do Tortuga and then stopped at a stop in the Jardim Las Palmas neighborhood.
Bolsonaro returned to Forte dos Andradas at 6 in the afternoon, where he stopped to take a photo and chat with the population. During the entire trip, the president was without a mask.

This is Bolsonaro’s seventh visit to Baixada Santista as president. During his tenure, he visited the region during the Easter holidays and the Proclamation of the Republic in 2019.
In January 2020, the president spent five days in the region, where he also participated in the inauguration of the Santa Casa de Santos Emergency Room. During the carnival, Bolsonaro also stayed at the Forte dos Andradas in Guarujá.
In September this year, the president won the title of Vincentian citizen and visited Ponte dos Barreiros, in São Vicente. Bolsonaro also visited the region during the festival of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, in October.
